It’s Not Winter Without Snow

I’d never survive in a climate without winter. How would I know when the end of the year is? Or practice my sure-footed snow walking techniques?  Here are a couple pictures of the slow but steady snowfall we’ve been having since Monday. Except for a couple bike rides and a jog, I’m trying to stay inside and drink lots of tea. Hope you are all staying warm too.

As much as I gripe about snow by the time it’s February/March, I don’t think I could live without it. I lived in Atlanta for a while after college and I couldn’t take the lack of seasons.

  2. Nice pics! Since I grew up in the northern part of India, I feel I have this special affinity towards snow. Am looking forward to making snowballs, snowman and all that stuff :)

Nice! I think I have enough snow on my porch to make a snowman. If I do, I’ll take a picture.

Complaining about snow is a privilege I wouldn’t want to give up. ;)

What are your sure-footed snow walking techniques? I could use some tips.

  6. Amanda says:

It depends on the type of snow/ice you’re walking on. I usually walk with short strides and turn my toes out a bit. Also, avoid high heels. ;)

But I wanted to wear high heels

  8. Amanda says:

Heels in snow is a little too much of a walk on the wild side for me. At least find some with good treads. ;)

Did you ever figure out how to winterize the bike?

  10. Amanda says:

Not really. I just took to going around corners very slowly.
